The vision of The Company & Its Founders:

My company vision is to support the Connecticut business community by providing the highest quality marketing materials available anywhere. Effective and compelling advertising and branding need not be cost-prohibitive, and I always strive to help my clients stand out and stand above, within budget.

I always believe in the importance of taking the time to understand my clients’ business, as effective marketing must be clear and targeted. I also value my working relationships and aim to forge partnerships based on mutual respect and friendship.

How Did You Start This Company?

The Graphics Workshop business entity actually began back in 2002, when I purchased some sign-making equipment and began selling vehicle and window lettering to put myself through college.

Having since worked as a graphic designer/web developer for many years, I eventually decided to go into business for myself full-time under the GW name. I enjoy working directly with clients, as well as the flexibility of taking on projects and clientele that are well-suited to my skill set and interests.

What Was The Trigger Point Which Happened To Start This Company?

My last job was at a B2B marketing agency, which closed its doors after 60 years in business (the owner retired.) I was able to continue working for several companies with whom I had enjoyed a great working relationship, and this group formed my first customer base.

What Is The Core Problem You Feel Many Of Your Ideal Clients Face In Their Business?

Standing apart the crowd is, I feel, at the core of many clients’ problems finding new leads and increasing their sales. It can be very tempting to imitate competitors in various ways, but this contributes to an industrial monoculture and exacerbates a company’s efforts to stand out. It is so crucial to try new things and follow passions in business, particularly in the marketing department.

Any Tips / Advice You Would Like To Share:

Do due diligence when considering any new marketing effort, and trust your gut. Don’t hop on every bandwagon, but if an initiative makes sense and seems worth trying, then go ahead and give it a shot. Always work with an agency takes the time to really understand your business; otherwise, move on.

I don’t like to brag, and I’m certainly not the best! However, I have been practicing web design for over 20 years, graphic design for 15, earned numerous accolades at art school, and have over a decade of marketing agency experience. I’m extraordinarily well-rounded in the graphic arts, so working with me can certainly make me the most efficient choice, once I take the time to understand your business and goals.
