WordPress Media Library: How to add a video | WP Learning Lab
Videos are a great way to engage your visitors and customers. Some of the benefits of using videos on your website are: they are often faster and easier to consume for visitors, your viewers become familiar with your brand's personality and connect to a deeper level you can present your products and services more easily.
To start hover over Media Library in the WordPress admin menu and click on "Add New".
You will see a dotted rectangle on the next page. Here you have the choice to click the Select Files button to browse your computer or drag and drop the video onto the dotted rectangle.
Downloading a video is often slow because file sizes are usually important.
Once your video is uploaded, you will see it under the dotted rectangle download area. If you click the Edit link to the right of your freshly uploaded video, a pop-up window will give you space to add a title, caption, and description. Do it if you want, but it is not necessary.
Now you can click the Library link under Media and see your video in the list. You can now include this video in your posts and pages by using the Add Media button in the Publish or Page Editor and selecting the video you want to insert.
